photography…where it started

In high school I needed an arts elective. I couldn’t paint or draw, I wasn’t going to join a choir, I don’t like public performances, and I was already taking piano lessons outside of school. The only thing I was even remotely interested in was photography. So I signed up and that’s where it all began.

It was a natural fit; it made sense. My grandfather was also into photography. He had all the equipment and he had even set up a dark room at his house. Grandaddy was all about documenting the family and events.

During my move, one of the things I had to do was go through my things I had stored at my mom’s house. I came across my negatives from high school. My uncle uploaded them to the cloud for me. I’ll be sharing some of my early work over a series of posts.

The first set is of members of my family from various events.
