I don’t do outdoors.
But every now and then I get the urge to go for a stroll and ‘commune’ with nature. Usually these little adventures are spurred by my desire to take my camera out and capture some photos.
This past Saturday I went out to one of the many nature parks in the area and took a walk on one of the trails. In being out in nature, I remember why I don’t do outdoors. There were so many bugs flying around and the mosquitos ate me up. It was not ideal. But when I got home and looked at the photos I got, I was satisfied. I suppose it was worth it.
While walking down the trail and taking in the scenery, it suddenly hit me about why I enjoy photography: I want to share with people how I see this world we live in.
Now for the photos. I’m not sure why I like this image so much, but when I was going through the 200 photos, I couldn’t bear to throw this one out. My lens actually would not cooperate with what I was trying to do. It would not focus on the flowers. I guess that’s what I get for buying it used.
These next few are me trying to be artsy and playing with the Lightroom effects and trying out some techniques in photoshop. When I put these in black and white, I think it really made everything more interesting.
Here are the rest of the photos in full color.
