Yet another set of photos from my cruise last year. This set is from day six when we went up into Canada to the Klondike Suspension bridge. This (the featured image) is also one of the only photos with me in it from my camera (the other lovely ladies in the featured image are my mom, my aunt, and one of my mom’s best friends).
I am quite proud of myself. I am absolutely terrified of heights, so crossing that bridge was not high on my list of things I’d want to do. But I did it. I may have held on tightly to the sides and repeated the mantra, ‘you’re completely safe, Whytney’ all the way across in my head (yes I was talking to myself in the third person…), but I did it.
The ride up to the Klondike Summit took over an hour, and before we reached our destination, we stopped along the way to take some photos.
After our photo op stop and before we made it to our final destination, we spotted moose in the water. The photo was taken from the bus and it is a bit blurry but you can still see the animals!
When we finally reached our destination, it was clear the long drive was worth it. The view was breathtaking! Below are more photos from the day.
Before we left the summit, I spotted a bus with a UNC flag in the window. I had to document it. I love that no matter where I go, I can spot my Alma Mater!
Day six of our cruise was remarkable and I loved every minute of it. The photos doesn’t do justice to the memories I have from that day.
