I want to get better at this posting thing, and apparently it’s been almost two months since my last post. Here’s a new one for you.
I went on a cruise last July, and I still haven’t finished posting all of the photos. Part of the reason for that is that I’m forgetful.
There was one day of our journey where we spent most of the day on the ship cruising through the Tracy Arm Fjord. It was magnificent, serene, and cold. The coldest days of our vacation was when we were cruising through the fjord.
What is a fjord? A fjord is a long narrow inlet of the sea between steep cliffs. Typically, these inlets were formed by the movement of glaciers.
The icebergs were some of the most amazing things I’ve ever seen. They were deceitful in size. What we could see seemed small and insignificant, but if you tried to look beyond the surface of the water, you could begin to see the outline of something much greater and much more impressive.
Below are more photos from our cruise through the Fjord. The whole experience with the awe-inspiring cliffs all around us made me feel small and insignificant in this great big world full of nature. It was a truly wondrous experience.
