    hkonj-the moral march 2017

Forward together, not one step back! A few years ago I attended HKONJ. Last year was my second time in attendance, and I took some really great photos. It was amazing to see so many people, on a cold day, peacefully marching through the streets of Downtown Raleigh in support of their progressive causes. There were so many movements and coalitions represented. People of all different walks of life and faiths gathered together to bring attention to their cause. I loved it. adventure to Biltmore..part 2

As promised part 2 of my trip to Biltmore Estate. My absolute favorite part of this whole adventure was the conservatory. I don’t have a green thumb. I can’t keep a plant alive to save my life, but for some reason I’m drawn to them. They’re just so beautiful. If you’re unfamiliar with the term, it means she is allowed to practice law in the District of Colombia. I had the privilege of attending the ceremony and luncheon celebration. I love seeing my friends succeed and celebrating their accomplishments. And I love being able to capture the moments, memories, and feelings…

    adventure to Biltmore… part 1

Here it is, February, and I’m still talking about my goals and resolutions for the year/life. One of the things that I keep saying I want to do is to travel more, do things I’ve never done before, and see things I’ve never seen before. I started on this goal last year around Christmas. I’m a North Carolina native–born and raised–and I’ve ridden/driven through Asheville too many times to count in the 28 (almost 29) years of my life. One thing I’d never done, was visit Biltmore Estate. So I took a couple of extra days off of work and actually stopped in Asheville so I could go to Biltmore…
